Egelston Township is a general law township (known in other states as a civil township) of Muskegon County in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 census , the township population was 11,128, [ 2 ] up from 9,909 in 2010 .

The Scripps Mansion (originally called Moulton Manor) is a Norman/Tudor Revival style mansion located in Orion Township, Michigan. The buildings and surrounding land are known collectively as the William E. Scripps Estate. Since 1956, the property has been part of the campus of Guest House, a residential treatment center for Catholic clergy. [1]
In 1962 the Augustinians leased the Mansion to Augustinian cloistered nuns. In 1963 the Order of Saint Augustine constructed a Seminary on the Felt Estate. This preparatory school contained a chapel and housing for priests as well as students in grades 9–12. [3] In 1977 the Felt Estate was purchased by the State of Michigan.
As of the census [1] of 2000, there were 956 people, 379 households, and 280 families residing in the township. The population density was 27.5 inhabitants per square mile (10.6/km 2 ). There were 614 housing units at an average density of 17.6 per square mile (6.8/km 2 ).
