    Having just looked at my 1989 Olds Eighty-Eight, eyeballing it seems to indicate 90 degrees. Oddly, I've found that, in the engine bay, the 2.8/3.1/3.4 family appears wider, and more difficult to access the spark plugs, than the 3300/3800 family, likely due to head and/or valve-cover design.
