Community Consolidated School District 93 (Abbreviation: CCSD93) is an elementary school district headquartered in Bloomingdale, Illinois. [1] It serves portions of Bloomingdale, Carol Stream, and Hanover Park. [2] The district has nine schools; As of 2017 it had 3,821 students. As of 2023 enrollment has declined significantly to 3,231 students.
Consolidation reduced the number of teams to five by 1964, and in 1970 these five joined with the Brown and Highland county leagues to form the Southern Hills Athletic League. The 2021 East Central Tigers football team represented East Central University (ECU) in the 2021 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Great American Conference (GAC). The Tigers were led by fourth-year head coach Al Johnson. The Tigers finished the season with a record of 7–4 to finish tied for fifth in the GAC.
East Central College was founded in 1968 to serve the educational needs of the people in east central Missouri. In that same year 114 acres (46.1 ha) were purchased for what is now the main campus. [3] Classes began in rented facilities at the Union Memorial Auditorium in September 1969 with enrollment of 476 students the first semester.
The "Warriors" is the name of the ECCC athletic teams and their colors are black and gold. They are a member of the NJCAA Region 23 and of the MACJC.
