Repair sill or jamb - $75. Site set-up and landfill disposal fee - $100. Thus, the total installed price for their 6000 top of the line double hung windows with low E/Argon and without grids would be $313 per window, or $325 per window if a storm window has to be removed, plus the $100 disposal fee for the entire order.
Window Depot. #1 by jlbutler2879 » Sat Dec 08, 2007 11:03 pm. I am looking to replace the windows in my home. I have received two quotes, one from window world and one from window depot. The window world quote ($5800) and the window depot quote ($5200) was for 10 double hung windows and 6 sliders. Window depot said that their manufacturer was ...
Re: Window World versus Others. #2 by Delaware Mike » Sun Oct 11, 2015 10:30 am. Good questions. If the local WW franchise owner runs a tight ship and has committed to building a decent reputation for his area you should be protected with some sort of warranty verses a GC that is smaller. My problem with the lower end $100 to $150 wholesale ...
Window Comments. I purchased fourteen 4000 series windows from Window World in 2006. With capping and grids, I paid $265 per window. After six years they are in perfect shape. No sagging, easy to open and close, perfect condition. Beautiful windows with perfect install.
If your doors average $1400 each at Window World prices (without more details, I don't know if this is accurate), and the obscure glass adds $50 per window, and the custom mulling of the 3 windows costs $150 your 11 windows cost about $6950 or $630 each in a more normalized/comparable cost.
The company has grown to over 200 outlets serving most of North America. The company was founded by Leon Whitworth, and is currently run by Window World, President Todd Whitworth. The company installs over 1,000,000 windows per year and exceeds $250,000,000 in annual sales. Window World does not actually manufacture the windows that they sell.
Here is a look at what has been quoted. $10,100 - Window World 4000 Series (Alside Excaliber) 1 - Single Hung. 11 - Double Hung. 2 - Sliders. 5 - Eye-Brow specialty shaped Windows. $13,500 (before a $1,500 ad discount) - Simonton 5050. 3 - picture windows in front of house.

Now the ComfortWorld window is no match for the Simonton. If I were to buy both from a local home center, it would cost me about $150 more per window for the Simonton. So out of the $750 price difference, $300 is explained by the cost of the windows. The other $450 is all markup by Home Depot.

They are all independently owned and I have seen good work from them, hope this is the case. Brickmold and window sills are easily repaired for capping and should look consistent when done.
