When it comes to boy names, boy I'll tell ya, I got nothing. You people have good taste, so hit me! What are your names you plan on using, names your partner vetoed but you still love, your guilty pleasure names you wouldn't really use but love...
Some of my favorite boy names are Vincent, Leo, Andre, Noah, Max, Felix (my only association is Felix the Cat, though,) Tyler (I like it for girls as well,) Jude, Tristan, and Toby. If I had another son, I’d definitely give him one of the names on this list. Reply reply. JessLynnStudio. •• Edited.
Both being teachers, we like uncommon names as we’ve strong associations with most names. Ones we like are Fletcher, Griffin, Otis, Flynn, Zephyr, Sullivan. We’ve scoured the web and this Reddit for unusual names so will probably have already heard most suggestions.
Hubby likes; Ulysses, William, Simon, Calliope, Callum (anything really nicknamed Cal he likes, boy or girl) I love Simon and Calliope as well, I’m in love with V names for girls (Veera, Verona, Vega), Waylon, Oleander, Laura, Sonja, Einar, those are some top ones. If y’all have any suggestions, that would be great.
None of the names you mentioned are traditionally feminine. Jules is a French boy's name (variant of Julius), Sasha is an Eastern European diminutive of both Alexander and Alexandra so it's actually unisex, unlike the "unisex" names people often mention here that are just boy's names people now also use for girls.
We really struggled with boy names too (ended up having all girls though). The top of our list was Marek, Felix, and Dominic (all three are family names). Reply reply
I’d love to receive strong boy names. Everything from preppy and classic strong names to the off-kilter. Middle names are welcome too. Example of names we aren’t too fond of, Tanner, Greyson, Brayden, Hayden, Jaden, Kaden, Rayden, Etc. Last name is a feminine and one syllable, starting with an R.
What are your favorite uncommon boy names? The names I like, but don’t necessarily love are Lane, August (I work in a preschool and there are several…), Ellis, Leland, Soren (two Sorens in ONE class), Stellan, Asa. Girls names are so much easier to fall in love with for me. Archived post. New comments cannot be posted and votes cannot be cast.
For Benny: Benecia, Benona, Benedicta - not a lot of options, since the Hebrew Ben means son, and (other than Benedicta, which is Latin), most common English "Ben" names come from the Hebrew. Catherine has Casey as a nickname Billy could come from Willa, Willow, Wilhelmina, or Wilma (meh) Abriana could be shortened to Abe
I’ve also been searching for boy names that fit this vibe, so here’s my list of what I at least consider timeless lol. Preston (my one year old’s name), Ellis, Holden, Hendrik (family name), Carsten (family name), Harrison, Nicholas. I really love Preston and think it goes so well with our last name!
