in Windows 8.1, the date in ISO 8601 format (YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ss) didn't work for me if I added Thh:mm:ss to the date. Date without time was ok. '2014-1-15' But this did work with time: 15-Jan-14 16:24 You might need to use your regional format e.g. 01/15/14 4:24pm or universal: 2014-1-15 16:24

1.Type anything in the search bar 2.it will show Search Tab 3.Select Date Modified filter as per your need like 'This week' will show all modified files which are modified in last week. For Sorting Go to View Tab and select Detail Option and then you can sort by Date Modified
From the command prompt, the script: C:\>dir *.* /s > a.txt. will list all files in the TXT file (a.txt) which can then be opened in Notepad or another text editor. You can then search through the list for files modified within a timeframe (eg. today). For example, this question is written on 06 August 2015, so I can search for "06/08/2015".
To find files older than x days, use the following: datemodified:< dd/mm/yy. where dd/mm/yy is x days before the current (today's) date.
