Hi - I am in Canada and looking for a single travertine pool deck tile (to cover the skimmer). Approx 12"x12" with a hole drilled in the center. So far no luck locating a dealer who will sell a single tile. Is anyone aware of a Canadian or US dealer who would ship a single tile (Custom cut / with a hole drilled in the center)? TIA.

Changing the color and texture depends on the sealer used, a penetrating sealer will not make it slippery and may or may not darken it.
Oct 4, 2022. #14. Joint Size: While most styles of pavers have spacer tabs molded into their sides, the optimal size of the joints between pavers should be 1/8" to 1/4", though with circles and fans, joint spacing may vary. Spacing too tightly can lead to chipping and difficulty in maintaining pattern lines.
Pentair Intellichlor IC-40. Nov 6, 2020. #2. We just went yesterday to look at a friend’s pool He has travertine around the pool and concrete pavers for the path to his gate. He said he was told travertine was cooler but they’ve found that when it’s 110 outside it doesn’t matter, they are both scorching hot. He said if he had to do it ...
I would assume that travertine spacing is very thin. The other note with working with polymeric sand is that it has to be properly wet to set correctly. If this is not done right, it will not harden. As far as dirt and weeds, not sure where dirt is coming from if you properly installed the travertine.
I’m having my 1.25” thick travertine pavers installed on a dry set base. The PB is planning to use spacers and then fill joints with polymeric sand. The pavers are pretty smooth on the sides, so I would think they would fit tightly together without having to add the spacers and the polymeric sand. Thoughts whether to go with the PB’s plan ...
I am Remodeling my pool. I had aggregate concrete for the decking. They extended the pool deck some as well. Total is about 550 sqft. They laid down Travertine tile over top. I picked a very similar grout color to the travertine tile. They laid the wrong grout the first time. They came back...
Also, I have travertine coping - honed and filled. But the deck travertine uses the tumbled for a less slippery walk especially when wet. Another poster had the honed and filled used for his deck (not his choice) and was experiencing real concerns with children falling. Be sure you're getting the tumbled for the deck part. Here's a picture of ...
Aug 8, 2021. #1. Hi everyone, we are in the process of getting bids to remodel our 1990s pool (coping, tile, finish). It seems that travertine coping from NPI and NPT and everywhere else is always 12xX but our current brick coping is 9 inches. One builder said he would just cut our aggregate deck all the way around to accommodate the 12 inches ...
Apr 19, 2020. #1. All, Yes I have surcommed to the point this painted pool deck is beyond the stripping and scrapping. (Spent all yesterday with little progress.) I have gotten bids to put travertine pavers on the existing concrete, but have gotten different stories. I have went through and power washed and scarped of any loose paint.
