Chunky Shrapnel is a 2020 concert film and live album by Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard.. The concert film was first announced by the band on social media on 6 March 2020 and was set to be screened at the Astor Theatre, Melbourne on 3 and 4 April. [1]
The band members all grew up and went to school in the Deniliquin, Melbourne, and Geelong areas of Australia. Stu Mackenzie and Cook Craig where in a band in high-school called Revolver & Sun alongside Fraser Gorman and Monty Hartnett while at the same time Ambrose Kenny-Smith and Lucas Skinner where in a band called Sambrose Automobile alongside Sam Cooper, Lonnie Carland and Cal Shortal.

[1] It peaked at No. 15 on the ARIA Albums Chart after being released on vinyl in November 2018. [2] The EP generally features a rawer and less refined sound compared to its successor 12 Bar Bruise.
