Bryansk Automobile Plant (BAZ; Russian: Брянский автомоби́льный заво́д, БАЗ, romanized: Bryansky Avtomobilny Zavod) is a Russian manufacturer of military vehicles based in Bryansk, Russia. It was established in 1958 as a subsidiary of ZiL. It is one of the leading Russian military equipment manufacturers.
The BAZ-6909 is a Russian artillery tractor and missile vehicle that was developed as a successor to the MAZ-537 and MAZ-7310 by Bryansk Automobile Plant. It can haul semi-trailers and loads with mass of 13-21 metric tons, both on and off-road. [1] [2] It uses a YaMZ-8424.10 diesel engine with 500 hp. [1]

In the mid-1990s, Russia began developing a new 9K512 Uragan-1M bi-caliber rocket system. In 1995, the Bryansk Automobile Plant started designing a chassis based on the BAZ-6910 "Voshchina-1" for the new MLRS. However, due to a lack of funding, all work on its design was stopped at the end of 1996.
