1. You almost have to think about getting reservations as a small part time job to be successful. It will take research and planning. 2. Florida state parks open reservations 11 months ahead at 8:00AM Eastern time. That's 8:00 AM and 00 seconds on the dot. Within a few seconds, whatever sites are available will be gone.
Many Florida state parks and other areas have a certain number of walk up only sites. We have scored some awesome sites during prime time by using the walk ups. We have also just moved to any available site for a day or two if we cannot get reservations for our whole stay.
You've apparently not been paying attention, the colors red and green are on the rainbow flag and as a strictly precautionary measure, ie., to prevent otherwise unsuspecting State Park campers from possibly being recruited to the dark side, green and red have been banned in Florida. Black is the new green.

This park has a history going back to the 1930's with buildings built by the CCC and the tallest waterfall in Wisconsin, just across the road from the main portion of the park. These states need to get their act together, and it appears that Wisconsin has hired some good firms to design restrooms and dump stations, but they have a long way to go.
Not sure about 123 or 410 but 12 not too far east of I-5 has the town of Mossyrock. A State park, private RV and 2 Tacoma Power campgrounds. Not very many farther East if my old memory serves me. If I may be so bold to suggest, and you aren't in a big hurry why not go East and take 12 to Yakima then 82 North to Ellensburg and 97.
The DHS regulations at 6 CFR 37.11 subsection (f) state that at the time of application, a person must present at least two documents of the State's choice that include the individual's name and principal residence. A street address is required except as provided in section 37.17(f) of the part.
Due to the hurricanes and the associated rebuilding in the south part of the state, many of the campgrounds are being used by displaced residents and work crews as a home base. That might make normally un-busy campgrounds not so easily accessible and reservations might be in order.
