The Morton Grove Public Library (MGPL) is a public library that serves residents and businesses of the village of Morton Grove, Illinois. Morton Grove is located 12 miles (19 km) north of downtown Chicago. The library is located at 6140 Lincoln Avenue, Morton Grove, IL 60053 and serves a population of 23,270 residents. [1]
Malta Township is one of nineteen townships in DeKalb County, Illinois, USA. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,557 and it contained 631 housing units. [ 2 ] Malta Township was originally formed as Etna Township from a portion of DeKalb Township in September, 1856; it was renamed to Malta Township in December 1858.
The Library is chartered by the New York State Education Department Board of Regents to serve the village of Round Lake and the town of Malta. Although the Round Lake Library is housed in cozy quarters, it is prepared to meet the needs of its residents and patrons in the twenty-first century.
The library also opened branches in Hoffman Estates (in 1992) and Hanover Park (in 1993). Another referendum for a larger central library passed in 1995, and construction on the current building in Schaumburg Town Square began in 1997. The central library moved into the building in 1998.
