Sylar (Gabriel Gray) is a fictional character and a primary antagonist of the NBC superhero drama series Heroes.Portrayed by Zachary Quinto, he is a super-powered serial killer who targets other superhumans in order to steal their powers.
Peter confirms to Claire he has taken Sylar's power, and the two meet Noah. Nathan crash-lands into a room with Sylar; the serial killer slits Nathan's throat, killing him. Hiro did not want to kill Sylar, but Ando showed Hiro the "9th Wonders!" comic page which shows him dead. Hiro unsuccessfully attempts to kill Sylar. He and Ando teleport to safety, where they discovered that the sword has been broken. They try to have the sword repaired, and Ando and Hiro encountered Hiro's father once more.

Sylar explains his powers are making him insane, and lets Janice go. Janice realizes the man is Sylar and tells Matt he must bury him for good.
Sylar hears a noise, and shifts himself to street level where he confronts Peter. Peter reveals to Sylar that he intends to free him from the nightmare. While reluctantly accepting what Peter tells him, Sylar dares him to free them, only to have Peter fail in his attempt. Peter then proceeds to simply avoid Sylar, with months seeming to go by.
