    linustechtips.com/topic/934450-updating-the-huawei-p8-lite2017-to-android-80-oreo

While looking to see if the phone was in stock at my local Carphone Warehouse(UK phone store) I saw articles saying the device could be update to Android 8.0/8.1. Iirc I did something similar updating the old P8 Lite to Android 7.1 but unfortunately I can't remember how I did it.

  3. I tried Stock Android and HATED it - Linus Tech Tips

    linustechtips.com/topic/1580005-i-tried-stock-android-and-hated-it

I felt this was exactly the point of the video though. Stock Android as people used in the past isn't really a thing anymore outside of LineageOS etc. which still make their own tweaks and as Linus said Custom ROMs have their own caveats. The Pixel UI is so "flavored" by itself nowadays that calling that stock Android also feels quite disingenuous.

Hello all, I Love the surface go 2, the form factor, the type cover and so on ... BUT Windows 10 is not as tablet friendly as Android (even Windows8.1). I would like to use the google ecosystem in dedicated apps, not through Chrome. I know, windows is windows, some will say i should have chosen s...

If you now is one of the 100K-500K that have bought the GTA:SA on Android and have signed in on Social club, I recommend that you immediately sign out of Social club or uninstall the app. (Menu > Game > "Sign out of Social club" > type some random email and password and press sign in so the information disappears or uninstall the app)

  8. Good free .APK to .TPK converter? - Linus Tech Tips

    linustechtips.com/topic/1585172-good-free-apk-to-tpk-converter

Not to mention that Tizen uses C#, while Android uses Java or Kotlin as its programming language(s) (assuming the program doesn't include native code) So you'd first have to convert your code to C#, then rewrite anything that uses Android APIs to Tizen APIs.

  11. Relatively safe, android emulator with good compatibility on AMD?

    linustechtips.com/topic/1467001-relatively-safe-android-emulator-with-good...

The ARM64 architecture emulation is not good, it's actually quite bad. The IA-32 and amd64 architectures work pretty well, and the ARM architecture. However, I have issues with getting Android 4.0 (API level 14) and below to work at all in this emulator. Android 4.0.3 (API level 15) and above do actually work.
