He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Eastern Kentucky University in 1978. After graduation, he started his news career in the WLAP Radio newsroom.

Marty Griffin (born June 12, 1959) is an American investigative reporter and radio talk show host working for KDKA-TV and KDKA-AM radio in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. [1] A native of Pittsburgh, he attended Ohio University and began working as a journalist in Wichita Falls, Texas before moving to Dallas, Texas where he was an investigative reporter for NBC affiliate KXAS.
