1992 was the first year that ABC made most of its regional games available via pay-per-view (similar to what became known as ESPN GamePlan). Meanwhile, ABC used Dan Dierdorf on play-by-play (with Bo Schembechler on color commentary) for a few games such as Bowling Green @ Ohio State on September 12 and Ohio State @ Indiana on November 14.
