After backing up my Quicken file, I just decided to leave my existing Amazon card account alone, and just ADD another account. Ctrl-A > Add Acct > in search field I entered "Amazon.com Store Card - Synchrony" & VOILA! It searched for my accounts & offered me the option to LINK TO EXISTING ACCT. Result is NO new account was created & my existing ...
I select that option, login, link to my existing account, and it sets it up as an Express Web Connect (as before). There is no other Amazon account option. The generic Synchrony bank credit card profile didn't work. So I'm reconnected back to Synchrony, back to where I started with Express Web Connect, but missing transactions.
It is the bank's or biller's contractual obligation to notify their Quicken download service provider, Intuit, of any changes to their websites and download functions in a timely manner before the change is implemented. Intuit needs a sufficient amount of lead time to review, change and test their programs, to adapt to the changes the bank makes.
If Amazon Card does not offer WC and if you cannot connect with EWC, then until this connection issue is resolved your options for setting up this card and managing it in Quicken are: Set up your Amazon Card as a manual account and manually enter the transactions. You can set up EWC later after the connection issue is resolved.

These are the steps that worked for me: 1. Go to Synchrony website and download a Quicken file to your desktop. 2. Right click the Quicken file and open with Notepad. 3. Control-F and search for everything in the quotes "<DTSTART>". You'll see. <DTSTART>R.
To check the version being used select Quicken (Top left corner) >About Quicken. To check the connection method of the account select Setting (bottom right corner) >Downloads. Once we have more information we can move towards diagnosing the issue at hand. -Quicken Paloma. alfried3 Member .
I would recommend trying both, however "Amazon.com Store Card - Synchrony is likely the correct one to use. When you select one, it has a blue link that takes you to the site so you can verify it's the same website you use to sign in and make sure your login works there. Please let me know if this helps!
I can no longer manually import downloaded transactions (.qfx file) into Quicken from my Amazon Store card account (Synchrony Bank). For the last 1.5 years or so, since Synchrony stopped allowing downloads from within Quicken, I have been downloading transaction and importing via the .qfx downloaded file.
Same here. 3 different Synchrony accounts, Amazon, Lowes and Sams. Problem seems to have something to do with the fact that Quicken wants to update all "Synchrony Bank Cards" at once. Password vault has an entry for "Synchrony Bank Cards" NOT for the individual cards (Amazon, Lowes, Sams). Very frustrating.
