Thanks! There IS some way to exercise some control over which images come up as the page image. According to the PageImages page, the extension "provides OpenGraph protocol metadata for articles on the wiki for 3rd parties like Facebook to extract." So I wouldn't be at all surprised if using this feature had the desired effect on Facebook!
