Askrigg is a small village and civil parish in Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It was formerly a part of the Richmondshire district of North Yorkshire, England. The village and its parish are located in Upper Wensleydale, 12 miles (19 km) west of Leyburn, and 5 miles (8 km) east of Hawes.
Aldwark is a village and civil parish in the former Hambleton District of North Yorkshire, England. It is situated on the River Ouse about 14 miles from York. The village lies within a conservation area. At the 2001 census it had a population of 116 increasing to 308 at the 2011 Census (and including Flawith and Youlton). [1]

It lies between Huntington and Strensall about 5 miles (8 km) north of York. According to the 2001 census, the parish had a population of 1,967. [2]
