St. John's College - UBC was founded by alumni of St. John's University, Shanghai, which was shut down by China in 1952. To keep the school's traditions alive, SJU alumni (called Johanneans) funded three academic institutions around the world bearing the name of St. John's.
Born in Steveston, British Columbia on 21 July 1897, [1] in 1917 Buchanan became an early graduate of UBC. He was one of the founders of the UBC Alumni Association, and served on the university's Senate and Board of Governors. He was elected Chancellor in 1966. [2] Buchanan received an honorary doctorate from UBC in 1970. [2]

The UBC Sauder School of Business is the business school of the University of British Columbia. The faculty is located in Vancouver on UBC's Point Grey campus and has a secondary teaching facility at UBC Robson Square downtown. UBC Sauder has been accredited by AACSB since 2003. [1] [2] The current Dean is Darren Dahl (since 2022). [3]
