Arthur Cecil Pigou (/ ˈ p iː ɡ uː /; 18 November 1877 – 7 March 1959) was an English economist. As a teacher and builder of the School of Economics at the University of Cambridge , he trained and influenced many Cambridge economists who went on to take chairs of economics around the world.
The site was listed on the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 1985 and the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. [1] The district is significant for its architecture, landscape architecture, and community planning. The houses are of the early 20th century, using stone, brick, and stucco. [2]

In 1871, the school's name was adjusted to the Ohio Institution for the Education of Idiotic and Imbecile Youth. The campus was built upon gradually, with wings added to the main building in 1876 and 1878, with a heating plant, laundry, workshop, coal house, and hospital also constructed around this time.
