Xuntian (Chinese: 巡天; pinyin: Xúntiān; lit: Tour of Heaven), [a] also known as the Chinese Space Station Telescope [5] (CSST) (Chinese: 巡天空间望远镜; pinyin: Xúntiān Kōngjiān Wàngyuǎnjìng) is a planned Chinese space telescope currently under development.
The university lends its name to HKU station, the main public transport access to the campus (and the Lung Fu Shan and Shek Tong Tsui neighbourhoods), opened on 28 December 2014. The Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine is situated 4.5 km [ clarification needed ] southwest of the main campus, in the Southern District near Sandy Bay and Pok Fu Lam .
The station is named after the adjacent University of Hong Kong. Part of the West Island line, a westward extension to the existing Island line, HKU station opened on 28 December 2014 along with Kennedy Town station. As of its opening, HKU station was the largest and deepest station in the MTR network, at 70 m (230 ft) below ground.
The highest number of people at the same time on one space station has been 13, first achieved with the eleven day docking to the ISS of the 127th Space Shuttle mission in 2009. The record for most people on all space stations at the same time has been 17, first on May 30, 2023, with 11 people on the ISS and 6 on the TSS.

The Main Building was built with donations by Sir Hormusjee Naorojee Mody and construction began in 1910. The buillding was inaugurated on 11 March 1912, and the foundation stone was laid on 16 March of the same year by the then Governor of Hong Kong Sir Frederick Lugard (later as Lord Frederick Lugard).
