Posted February 12, 2021. I recently bought the DWE7491RS table saw as well, and put my dado blades on this morning to make some cuts for cabinets I'm making. Had the same issue with the blade height dropping. It took a couple of calls, but found the answer! The Dewalt factory service techs were outstanding.
Here's my problem. I cut a strip of wood at exactly 1 1/2". Then I set the plastic needle rip guide to 1 1/2" and tightened it with its two set screws. I also put two tic marks on either side of the rip guide plastic to test that it didn't move underneath the screws with rolling movement of the rack & pinion fence. I ripped a piece at 9" Perfect.
So i recently purchased the Bosch 4100 table saw. I had been up in the air with that one vs the Dewalt DWE7491RS with the rolling stand. After looking at the Dewalt again (store displays) the Dewalt seems to be sturdier and have a more reliable and consistent fence. I am debating taking the Bosch...
Dw744 table saw. The bade has become misaligned with the front of the blade shifting left. Nothing appears to be loose. I cannot adjust the fence enough to compensate. I had the same problem on my saw. I had to loosen all the torque screws under the saw table and adjust the whole yellow plastic over, I then ran out of adjustment and had to slot ...
Dewalt is a nice one too. I have two Makita table saws now. One is the contractor one that you pull the handles toward you and it raises up and down on gas shocks. And the other is just solid legs. That one is around 10 or 12 years old. And had to put a new motor on it 2 or 3 years ago.
So I'm in 3 minds as which one to get. Basically my needs would be ripping down 2x and less thicker materials. Not necessarily sheet materials as I'd use my track saw for that purpose. I'm slightly concerned about the flexvolts power even though I've seen it rip 2x material with ease but that's b...
Posted August 25, 2011. It took me 2 hours to setup my 744. The first thing anyone should do when setting the saw up is aligning the blade to the miter slot and running the blade over to 45 degrees and making sure the throat plate has proper clearance. Mine does not. I adjusted mine completely over and had to loosen all the screws on the front ...
I started out with a dewalt track saw and a REALLY cheap junk craftsman table saw. My thought is that with the track saw, I'd only be putting smaller cuts through the table saw. While the $99 black Friday junk saw from sears didn't meet my needs - it cut poorly and couldn't take a DADO blade.

I bought a diablo 10" blade and upon installing the blade i noticed that the diablo blade touches the mounting of the riving knife, please see photo.
What more are you wanting? I could have mounted the saw to the yellow brackets to clip it to one of the aluminum stands. Or there are the 2 wheeled stands DeWalt offers. All those options take up a lot more space and increase the overalls size/footprint of the table saw. I want to keep it as compact as possible. I run a very lean and adaptive ...
