Kepala Batas (UK: / ˌ k ə p ɑː l ɑː b ɑː t ɑː s /, Malay: [kəpala batas]) is a suburb of Seberang Perai and the seat of the Northern Seberang Perai District in the Malaysian state of Penang. It lies about 10 km (6.2 mi) northeast of Butterworth and 15km (9.3 mi) southwest of Sungai Petani.
The district covers the northern third of Seberang Perai, including the city centre of Butterworth. It borders Kedah to the north and east, and Central Seberang Perai to the south. The district, along with the Central and South Seberang Perai districts, falls under the jurisdiction of the Seberang Perai City Council.
