SSN comes under Anna University and is a full fledged engineering collge (with several branches). SNU is a private university with colleges in Noida and Chennai. SNU Chennai runs just three computer science branches (plus one Bsc). While they share the same campus (being owned by the Shiv Nadar foundation), they are very different entities.
