This article however is about a Military Academy for boys located in Los Angeles California from 1906-1964. California Military Academy (CMA) was one of several private boys’ military schools in the Los Angeles area from the early to the middle part of the 20th century. CMA was a military school for boys grades Kindergarten through 9th.
Rodger Young Village, named for Private Rodger Wilton Young, was one of several such projects under the control of the Los Angeles City Housing Authority. Veterans and their families were able to rent living space at reasonable rates, while waiting for the post-war housing "boom" to counter the post-war housing "crunch."
