Durham Farmers' Market, July 2008. The Durham Farmers' Market is a producer-only farmer's market located in Durham, North Carolina, established in 1998. [1] As part of the Market's emphasis on locally produced produce, crafts and flowers, items sold by the Market's vendors are restricted to traveling no more than 70 miles (112.7 km) on its journey to Durham.

Rutherford County Board of Education member Tammy Sharp said many families enjoy having more time to celebrate Thanksgiving. The board approved the calendar for the 2024-25 academic year on Oct. 12.

Evans Family moved from Edgecombe County, N.C. through Nash County, N.C. to Pine Level in Johnston County, N.C. in 1850 A.D. and started a farm which eventually through land purchases became the 6,000 acre Tall Pines Plantation, Founded in 1870 A.D. by Jane Barns Evans widow of J.A. Evans CSA.
