Truman William Brophy (April 12, 1848 – February 4, 1928) was an American oral surgeon. He's known to be the founder of the Chicago College of Dental Surgery. He also served as the American President of the Fourteenth International Medical Congress in Madrid in 1903. He created innovative techniques to correct cleft lip and cleft palate. [1] [2]

To meet the growing needs of Chicago, Loyola established professional schools in law (1908), medicine (1909), business (1922), and nursing (1935).
