The Legend of Spyro: Dawn of the Dragon (French: La Légende de Spyro: Naissance d'un dragon) is a 2008 action-adventure video game in the Spyro series.It is the third and final installment in The Legend of Spyro trilogy and the sequel to The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night (2007), marking the tenth anniversary of the game series.
The game was originally going to have 25 levels. Although this is fewer than the amount of levels in the previous Spyro games, the levels were going to be noticeably larger than the levels in previous Spyro games. Spyro is required to defeat Grendor twice, the first time to progress after the first two seasonal realms and the second time after the other two seasonal realms to win the game. If the player collects 100% of all the gems and fairies from all levels and realms, a new portal opens to play the extra game "Dragonfly X".
