Socorro Consolidated School District (SCSD) or Socorro Consolidated Schools is a school district headquartered in Socorro, New Mexico. Located within Socorro County , the district includes Socorro, Alamillo , Chamizal , Escondida , Lemitar , Luis Lopez , Polvadera , San Acacia , San Antonio , and San Antonito .
The Socorro Independent School District (SISD) serves more than 47,000 students in 49 schools and is the second largest school district in El Paso, Texas. The district covers 135 square miles serving East El Paso, Horizon City and the City of Socorro.

That vote, by a tally of 63–0, resulted in the formation of the Socorro Independent School District. The district consisted of one school, Escontrias, that enrolled students through the eighth grade. It was not until March 1964 that a $500,000 bond was passed, enabling students of the area to attend high school in the Socorro area.
