On March 17, 1997, CNN en Español began broadcasting 24 hours a day. In addition, the chain's production centers begin to operate in Buenos Aires and Havana. The correspondent in the Cuban capital was the first office of a U.S. organization on the island. The channel was added to the Sky Brasil platform on the first week of April 1997. [1]
The television show was first broadcast on November 22, 2010 as part of a makeover for the CNN en Español network. The show was one of three full-hour format news magazines added to the prime-time news schedule of the network, hosted by Juan Carlos Lopez.

CNN International HD is the high-definition simulcast feed of the channel broadcasting at 1920x1080i, which was launched in September 2012. Before June 3, 2013, only programming from CNN/US was available natively in HD, while shows made for CNN International were produced in 4:3 576i.
In mid-2013, CNNI Asia-Pacific introduced a 16:9 HD version of its feed on selected pay-TV operators. It was at this time that all Hong Kong–based shows have started airing using a 16:9 format. The SD version is still available but it is further downscaled to 4:3 letterbox on some providers.
