The 2025 Virginia House of Delegates election is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 to elect members of the 164th Virginia General Assembly. All 100 delegates are elected to two-year terms in single-member districts. Nomination primaries held through the Department of Elections are to be held June 17, 2025. [1]
The 2025 Virginia gubernatorial election will be held on November 4, 2025, to elect the governor of Virginia. Incumbent Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin will be ineligible to run for re-election, as the Constitution of Virginia prohibits the state's governors from serving consecutive terms. Primary elections will take place on June 17, 2025. [1]
The 4th district takes in the city of Richmond and portions of Southside Virginia following Interstate 95. Within the district are the cities of Colonial Heights, Emporia, Hopewell, and Petersburg. The incumbent is Democrat Jennifer McClellan who was re-elected with 67.5% of the vote in 2024. [1]
