Caldwell High School is a public high school in Caldwell, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Caldwell Exempted Village School District. Their nickname is the Redskins. They are members of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference. Their chief sports rivals are the Shenandoah Zeps, the only other high school in the county.

There are more than 600 city, local, and exempted village school districts providing K-12 education in Ohio. There are also about four dozen joint vocational school districts which are separate from the K-12 districts. The borders of the school district do not strictly follow county, township, or municipal borders.
A committee of citizens representing the six districts was formed, and meetings were held with members of the various boards of education, and with county and state officials. On January 1, 1956, the South-Western Local School District was formed. It was a consolidation of five local systems and one exempted village school system.
