I got a Poulan BVM200 Leaf blower from my friend for free because he said it wouldn't start. Alas, it still wouldn't. I've tried checking the spark plug, and it gives a consistent spark. I tried pouring a little fuel mix into the spark plug hole and putting the spark plug back in and it still wouldn't turn over.

Poulan bvm200 blower won't start.... Jump to Latest 4K views 4 replies 4 participants last post by hankster May 2, 2009
My experience with Poulan would suggest that you could very likely have problems with your gas lines. The larger diameter hose is the primer line..the smaller line is the fuel line. The fuel line should have the pick-up/filter on one end (inside the gas tank) and the other end goes into the angled inlet on the carb.
I've repaired three of these BVM200s all with the same problem, "won't start" even though they had spark and fuel. I don't know why, but Poulan let a bunch of these units out w/o torquing down the cylinders. The cylinder bolts loosen and they develop a leak between the cylinder and block. Some have a paper gasket, and some have a rubber gasket.
