Africa Renewal University (AfRU) is a private Chartered Christian university in Uganda. It was founded in 2007 as the Gaba Bible Institute , [ 2 ] before being renamed Africa Renewal Christian College .

African Rural University was established in 2006 [4] and accredited by the Uganda National Council for Higher Education in 2011. [5] It was the first university in Africa that has focused on teaching sustainable agriculture exclusively to women. [6] The course work is 60 percent theoretical teaching and 40 percent practical implementation. [7]
