Topographic relief is significant as the summit rises 1,870 feet above the lake in 0.28 mile. The rock pillar was named after Llao, a Native American god. [4]
Oregon Route 138 is an Oregon state highway that runs between the city of Elkton and a junction with U.S. Route 97 at Diamond Lake Junction. Mount Scott is a small stratovolcano and a so-called parasitic cone on the southeast flank of Crater Lake in southern Oregon. [4] [5] It is approximately 420,000 years old. [3] Its summit is the highest point within Crater Lake National Park, and the tenth highest peak in the Oregon Cascades. [6]
