March 1 – Mount Gambier Airshow (Mount Gambier, South Australia) – An Air Tractor AT-802A crashed on aerodrome whilst performing a low-level fire-fighting display. The pilot lost control after attempting a sudden steep climb at high speed and he was killed in the crash.
