Howard C. Caldwell, Jr., (July 18, 1925 – September 11, 2017), was an American broadcaster from Indianapolis, Indiana. [1] He was the anchor for WRTV (Chanel 6) in Indianapolis for 35 years. He was the first U.S. journalist to interview Indira Gandhi , contributed to two documentaries, authored two books, and received many awards and honors.
One was released from prison in 2018 after serving most of a 20-year sentence, one is incarcerated at Michigan City's Indiana State Prison for the rest of his life and one died behind bars in 2019.
