Woonsocket High School is a high school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, United States (in Providence County). It is the only public high school in the city. [ 2 ] Manufacturer and abolitionist Edward Harris donated the original land for the public high school.
Woonsocket was incorporated as a town in 1867 and as a city in 1888. Its first high school, built in 1877, was located on Boyden Street in a building that also housed elementary grades. In 1902, the high school took over the entire building, but it was judged inadequate for the purpose by the school committee.

Beacon Charter High School for the Arts is a charter high school in Woonsocket, Rhode Island that first opened in 1997. It combines a high school college preparatory program with a visual, performing, and culinary arts. In September 2015, Beacon opened Founders Academy, serving grades 6–8.
