Dick Liberatore hosted a game show pilot titled Pass or Play, which was directed by Robert Morton. Shortly after taping, Liberatore moved to San Diego and adopted the stage name Mark Richards. In 1982, Richards was chosen by Ted Turner to host Starcade, cable television's very first original game show, which aired on superstation WTBS.
