Kathleen Nesbitt began teaching fiddle in 1967 and is among the most well known music teachers in Ireland. In 1983, she began teaching an intensive master class at Scoil Éigse. She has travelled internationally performing in the US, Canada, Iceland and France. Since 1990, she has taught at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient.
Kevin Burke (born 1950) is an Irish master fiddler considered one of the finest living Irish fiddlers. Paddy Glackin was born on 5 August 1954 in Clontarf, Dublin. [1] His father, Tom Glackin, was an officer with the Garda Síochána in Dublin and a notable fiddle player who instilled in Paddy a deep interest and love of the music of his native County Donegal, and taught him and his brothers Kevin and Seamus to play the instrument.
