[40] [41] [42] It was established in the academic year of 1922–23 as Dhaka University Student Union. Its first constitution was drafted in its general assembly on 30 October 1925. In 1953, its constitution was amended and the union was renamed Dhaka University Central Students' Union. In 2019, the last DUCSU election took place after 29 years.
There are three modules in the program. Each module is three (3) months long. The first module gives the knowledge of basic management subjects focusing on the functional areas of business. The second module is industry attachment. In the third module, industry, and trade-related subjects are taught by industry experts. [8]
This college was acknowledged by the Dhaka Education Board on 19 May 1971. On 31 May 1972, honours courses were introduced in Bangla and chemistry department under the University of Dhaka. M.A. (part-1) was started in this college in English, political science, botany, zoology and maths subjects on 28 January 1995.
