Saab 9-2X The Saab 9-2 (sometimes referred to as Saab 9-1) was a small family car that was proposed in February 2010 to have been added to Saab 's production line by 2014, [ 1 ] [ 2 ] under its then new ownership, Spyker Cars [ 3 ] though some commentators considered the project a pipe dream.
Under GM's direction, the badge-engineered Saab 9-2X (based on the Subaru Impreza) and Saab 9-7X (based on the Chevrolet Trailblazer) were introduced in the American market in 2005 with the hope of increasing sales. Both models were a critical and commercial failure and were cancelled a few years after production began.

The Saab 9-X is a concept car by the Swedish car manufacturer Saab Automobile, designed by a group of ten Saab designers, including Michael Mauer (born 1962) and the project leader Anthony Lo. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It was first shown in September 2001, at the Frankfurt Auto Show .
