"Earth Song" is a song by the American singer Michael Jackson. It was written by Jackson and produced by Jackson, David Foster and Bill Bottrell . It was released by Epic Records on November 7, 1995, as the third single from Jackson's ninth studio album, HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I (1995).
The song was originally written by Teddy Riley for BLACKstreet's 1999 album Finally. [1] However, while writing the song with Jackson, the singer asked Riley to give the song to him because he wanted to record it himself. [3] Riley agreed and the song was included on Michael's 2001 album Invincible. [1]
