The Advertiser is a daily tabloid format newspaper based in the city of Adelaide, South Australia.First published as a broadsheet named The South Australian Advertiser on 12 July 1858, [1] it is currently a tabloid printed from Monday to Saturday.
In 2007, Messenger Newspapers began publishing news online and uploaded web videos for the first time. In January 2008, Messenger added a number of online interactive features to its websites, including photo galleries and a breaking news feed from Adelaide Now, the online news service of The Advertiser newspaper.

The creation of the paper reflected the growing population of Adelaide's northern suburbs in the 1960s. In 1977, the paper added Munno Para to its name to become the Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler and Munno Para News-Review , In addition to the Wednesday edition, a Friday edition, known as The Weekender , was established on 7 July 1978.
After 22 years at Adelaide radio station 1395FIVEaa, Rucci moved in 2019 to SEN1629SA to co-host the drive-time sports show with Kym Dillon.
