For the R X compact, Sig suggests "M3x0.5-11.75mm (SIG P365 slide): 24 inch-pounds. On the R X Pro, they have "M4x0.7-9.75mm screws to steel slide: 28 inch-pounds." Assuming you'd be using M4 screws on a R X compact to the Fuse slide, I would tend to use 28 in lbs. Ok, NOW that's all I got.

So much fearmongering. No and no. "Spontaneous Discharges" are a myth born of attempts to conceal a Negligent Discharge and shift liability from the bozo who tried to holster his gun with his finger on the trigger, or allowed/had something inside the trigger guard that activated/pressed the trigger.
I looked at some threads on Sig Forum and some people said that the Sig P365 Gen 2 will have all the issues fixed, especially the ones on or after September 2018. I just bought my P365 several days ago. The seller told me this pistol is a Gen 2, and all the trigger issues and sights have been fixed and corrected.
The P365 safety is well placed, easy to manipulate and really doesn't slow you down. Choose the P365 without a manual safety, the gun is still safe. The desirability will differ from shooter to shooter. The conversion is simple to install and if that's your cup of tea, well worth the expense.

P365 - Accuracy! Just got a new P365 and have put about 300 rnds through it in a couple days. It has been completely trouble free with no malfunctions. I did induce one fail to hold back slide by intentionally holding my thumb high to see how sensitive it was to barely touching the slide release. I am astounded by the inherent accuracy of the P365.
With sights properly aligned and within average pistol engagement distances of about 35 yards, top of front sight will indicate bullet POI. (6 o' clock Hold): Ignore this Hold because it's almost always found only on target pistols, and almost never on production defensive pistols. Many people mistakenly refer to other Holds using this name.
