Truthfully, Midtown Lodge was in serious need of refurbishing. That's putting it kindly. There are many other hotels on the stip that need to be torn down or completely gutted.

I've probably stayed at MidTown Lodge more than I've stayed at any other hotel in G'burg. I normally try to stay somewhere different each time but I think I've stayed at MidTown 3 times. Best location and I could not imagine another parking garage right there.

I heard about the MidTown Lodge closing a month or so ago. It's a real shame. While it was definitely an older hotel, I must say we loved the tower rooms in the back and stayed there several times on our way into town to visit our own chalet.

In the late 1980's Midtown Lodge added on a new Five floor High Rise that sat perpendicular to the original back building. This high rise had more modern accomodations such as whirpool's, these units however, were the furthest units from the parkway.
