The contacts inside the meter will eventually build up dirt and scraped off residue from the strips. You can try blowing into the slot with compressed air or try to carefully clean it with a toothpick or similar (nothing metal!) and some isopropyl alcohol.

Does anyone use the OneTouch Verio Flex meter? I have had this meter since July or August and had been working great for my until I upgraded my phone. I cannot get the app on my iPhone 12 to pair with the meter. I am getting really frustrated about it too. I am still waiting to hear back from LifeScan (the company) about the issue.
At my Endo’s office. The receptionist offered me a free Verio Flex meter with some free strips and told me to take it home and try it. I have a buttload of Ultra strips at home, so I’d need to use those up before I can switch to the Verio Flex. Other than Bluetooth, what makes the Verio Flex a better choice than my Ultra 2?
