Steven H. Stern (born October 30, 1968) is an American politician currently serving as a New York State Assembly member representing the 10th district, which includes portions of the towns of Babylon and Huntington in Suffolk County. A Democrat, Stern was first elected in 2018 through a special election. [1]
He was the chair of the Assembly Committee on Environmental Conservation. [5] He was defeated in the 2022 election by Edward Flood. [6] In 2023, Englebright was re-elected to the Suffolk County Legislature in the 5th Legislative District, a seat he previously occupied prior to his tenure in the Assembly. [7]
