SilverHawks is an American animated television series developed by Rankin/Bass Productions and distributed by Lorimar-Telepictures in 1986. [2] The animation was provided by Japanese studio Pacific Animation Corporation.
The Ljubljana Silverhawks were an American football team based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, founded in 2002 by a group of football fans from the Slovenian capital. The team won the Slovenian Football League a record six times (2009–10, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2017).
The name "Silver Hawks" was chosen as an homage to the once popular Studebaker Silver Hawk automobile, which was manufactured in South Bend. Reid Mahon with the Silver Hawks in 2007. Notable former players include Brandon Webb, and Justin Upton, the number 1 overall draft pick in 2005. The team's home park is Four Winds Field at Coveleski Stadium.
The first league game in Slovenia was played in the said year and four teams competed that year. Those teams were the Ljubljana Silverhawks, Maribor Generals, Alp Devils, and Gold Diggers. The final game of the season, the inaugural Slovenian Bowl was played on 26 June 2010, where the Ljubljana Silverhawks defeated Alp Devils 41–0.
In the 1980s, Wheeler (under her maiden name of Jakobson) briefly dabbled in voice acting.In the animated series SilverHawks, she voiced not only the villainess Melodia and the heroine Steelheart/Emily Hart, but all of the female characters; she also worked on the Karate Kat and Mini-Monsters segments of The Comic Strip.
