It is the location of Anchor Church, [2] a small series of caves in the sandstone which were the homes of anchorites. The word Ingleby means 'Village of the English'. [3] Nearby places include Stanton by Bridge, Ticknall and the Foremark Reservoir. Ingleby hosts the Ingleby Art Gallery, [4] and the privately owned John Thompson public house. [5]
The Church began as a church planting project of The Anchor Church, formerly Revival Tabernacle, located in the Oak Park area of San Diego. [1] It was initially established as a Bible study group under the direction of Pastors Karlton Edison and Vince Larson in 2007.
